It’s that time of the year when Cape Town’s popular beaches, Clifton beach and Camps Bay have become the hot spots for crowds of young people, much to the annoyance of local residents.
Some have even hailed the tourist destination as the “new Durban”.
CROWDS FLOCK TO CLIFTON BEACH
In a TikTok posted by @robinmay, Clifton beach was seen crowded with party-goers, who sang and danced to music blaring out of multiple speakers.
Some social media users, like media personality Somizi, have praised the scenes, encouraging all to enjoy the public space.
“This makes me so happy. As I sing ‘in South Africa our land’”, he commented under the clip.
Others were annoyed at the sight and the sounds…
