Orlando Pirates have officially announced the sensational return of Mohau Nkota from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ettifaq.
Nkota left the Buccaneers for Al-Ettifaq at the beginning of last season after an impressive period for club and country.
At the time Al-Ettifaq signed Nkota, he was a regular for Pirates and Bafana Bafana but he has since lost his place in the national team.
In all honesty, injuries hampered the left-footed player’s progress in Saudi Arabia, and perhaps this could be the right move for him.
However, he will have to up his game given how well the younger Pirates players have done so far this season under Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Nkota has never worked with Ouaddou, and how the coach integrate him within the team remains to be seen.
Players such as Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng whom Nkota played with have since left the Sea Robbers.
Now, according to Al-Ettifaq, this is a season-long loan deal for Nkota, and it remains to be seen if Pirates would eventually want to make it permanent.
