MTN8 final general access tickets will go on sale this Friday, 2 October 2026, from 10:00. Supporters expected to move quickly because of the huge interest surrounding the clash.
The final will be played at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 10 October 2026. Kick off is scheduled for 18:00.
MTN8 FINAL TICKETING RULES AND THE ROAD TO THE FINAL
Orlando Pirates have been designated as the ceremonial home team following the tournament’s administrative draw, while Mamelodi Sundowns will be the away team for the showpiece encounter.
The match brings together two of South African football’s biggest clubs. Orlando Pirates are chasing an unprecedented fifth consecutive MTN8 title. Mamelodi Sundowns are attempting to reclaim the trophy for the first time since 2021.
General access tickets have been priced at R150 each.
However, fans will need to follow strict purchasing rules because the PSL has implemented measures aimed at controlling demand, preventing ticket scalping and improving security around the fixture.
NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE STADIUM
Tickets will only be available online through the official OpenTickets platform. There will be no physical ticket sales at Moses Mabhida Stadium or through retail outlets, meaning supporters who want to attend the final will need to use the official online purchasing system when sales open at 10:00 on Friday.
There is also a maximum limit of four tickets per person per transaction. An online queuing system will be used to manage the expected demand, and supporters who successfully add tickets to their cart will have 10 minutes to complete their payment.
Fans should therefore make sure that they have a valid banking card and sufficient funds available before entering the purchasing process.
The PSL has also made it clear that every person entering Moses Mabhida Stadium must have a valid ticket. This requirement applies to everyone, including children and infants.
Supporters have also been warned against purchasing tickets through unauthorised third parties, secondary marketplaces or street sellers because tickets obtained through unofficial channels may be declared invalid and could result in the holder being refused entry.
