For now, the R16.8 million benchmark attached to Broos’ reported package has emerged as a key part of the negotiations. Mosimane’s camp also stressed that Mosimane’s stance should not be interpreted as simply chasing money. “This is a commitment to country, not market value,” the camp said.
There is a discrepancy between the R16.8 million annual figure paid to Hugo Broos and the R10 million annual figure on the table for Mosimane. Will the parties find a compromise?
